Archeologists

This week, some archaeologists came to our school and talked to us about different artifacts and what an archaeologist is. They showed us some artifacts that they found in the Aniakchak National Preserve. They told us the importance of writing down where and when you found artifacts. Because then archaeologists could try and figure out why it was there and what it could have been used for. We also learned about having to think about everything an artifact could be used for.

The archeologist's also did a presentation for the community of Chignik Lagoon. They were talking about coming back and doing an archeological dig and including the students.
