Graduation Preparation!

This week has been fun. In and out of school. Monday night, a lot of people went clam digging. We went down the beach around 7 and got back around 9. Everybody found a good amount of clams. Instead of everyone taking some home, we put them all in a couple totes and let them sit over night to let them clean themselves out a bit.

The next day, the high schoolers and middle schoolers got out of school at 1:30 to start cleaning the clams for the thrown together potluck we had planned. Everyone had their own job. Tyler and Zach were opening the clams and taking the black tips out of them. Anna and Isabella were splitting the clams into half shells. Our teacher, Nancy, and I cleaned the insides of the clams and placed them onto trays. Erin made a flour mixture and then learned how to work our soft serve ice cream machine. Cleaning the clams took a long time and we didn't even clean all of them. After the potluck started, I traded with someone so I could take a break and then I started making waffle cones again. I made an even 15 cones.

Other then that, Erin, Tyler, and I started to plan for our graduation. We looked through a Stumps magazine and looked for decorations. At first we didn't really want to because it seemed like a lot of work but after we started, it became fun. We were having some trouble finding somethings but we still have a bit of time.

This morning we had a fundraiser. It was a brunch. Its going to be at 11 AM. Some of the menu items were eggs benedict, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, and many others. Everyone had fun, the food was good, and we got some donations for our trip.

We also had a LSAC meeting on Monday. Our principal, Mr. Manning came in on Monday and left on Wednesday. He also went clam digging.

This week has been filled with many things and as we get closer to Winter Break we planned a few more small fund raisers. I hope everyone has a good weekend :)
